RIVER FLOAT FAQ
Yes! We allow dogs, we just ask that you do not bring aggressive dogs.
The 11 Point River is spring fed, which means it will never dry up. This river ranges in depth, from shallow spots to up to well over 6 feet in some spots.
We do not have a minimum age. Arkansas state law requires children 12 and under to wear a lifejacket at all times on the river.
In our area, the 11 point is a class 1 river with little to no rapids.
Yes, we have ice. We also have all the river necessities at our store, including drinks and snacks.
Yes, we provide life jackets. Life jackets are required in every hard-sided vessel. Children 12 and under must wear a life jacket at all times. You may bring your own life jacket, or we can provide it. We recommend bringing your own child life jackets to ensure best fit.
Yes, Trukees has many cabin rentals, as well as camper rentals and camping spots.
Yes! Our drivers strive to make your trip the best of the best. Our drivers accept cash, and some have different payment options. If you feel your driver has done a good job feel free to tip them! They greatly appreciate it.
We offer kayaks, canoes, rafts, and tubes.
The temperature varies depending on the time of the year, but usually is at an average of 69-74 degrees.
If you choose one of our walk-in options you will come to Trukees store to check-in, you will then take your vehicle down to a short drive of about 2 minutes to the river. Where you park your vehicle will be your take-out spot. You will then be picked up by one of our drivers and taken up river. You will float back down to
your vehicle and leave your vessels there on our property! Signs are posted and directions will be given at check-in. Cabin float options vary. Please call for more information for cabin floats.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday we do require reservations 24 hours in advance. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday we accept reservations and we are open for walk-ins from 8am-2pm, reservations are not required but recommended because we do sell out of vessels on some days.
CABIN/RVs FAQ
Yes, we allow well-behaved pets. We ask that you clean up after your pets. There is a pet fee.
At your scheduled float time you will be picked up at your rental by one of our drivers who will take you up river, you will then float back to your cabin/RV.
Check-in is at 2pm and check out is at 10am.
This varies throughout the year, call to arrange a primitive camping spot.
Cell signals along the river can be spotty. We provide Wifi at all of our rentals.
Yes, the closest town is Pocahontas. Pocahontas has dollar stores, Walmart, and Harps. There are many options to choose from for restaurants, whether that is fast food or sit down.
We have firewood for purchase, this will be dropped off at your rental before you arrive. If you would like to purchase firewood you can contact us to arrange it.
Occasionally we will offer specials/packages. These will be posted on our Facebook page, Trukees Cabin and Canoe Rental.
Yes, we do not allow any smoking in our rentals.
We provide most of what you need, including kitchen utensils, silverwave, plates, pots and pans, bed sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, washcloths, and soap. We also provide garbage bags, coffee k-cups, coffee creamer, and paper towels. You should bring whatever you would generally take to stay at a hotel, plus food, swimwear, sunscreen, and other personal items you’d like to have with you during your stay on the river.
Yes, we have all of our rentals available throughout the year.
